Bishop Jeffrey J. Reed
Head Pastor
Jeffrey J. Reed is the Founder and President of Powerhouse of Deliverance Ministries, Inc., with locations in Bay St. Louis and Picayune, Mississippi. He is a graduate of Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS, and West Virginia State University in Institute, WV. He furthered his education by earning two masters in Concrete and Masonry.
After receiving a football scholarship to West Virginia State University, Reed made the pivotal decision to forgo his athletic career to fully commit to following Christ. In 1980, he accepted his call to ministry under the mentorship and tutelage of Dr. Melvin L. Mosley and Apostle J.H. Covington. With a strong work ethic instilled by his parents, Leroy and Roma Lee Reed, he co-founded and operated a successful construction business while still in college.
In 1982, following his graduation from WVSU, Reed met Tina Thurston while constructing her father’s church. They married in 1984, relocated to Mississippi, and together raised four beautiful daughters.
Deeply committed to equipping and mobilizing the Body of Christ, Reed established the Adullam School of Ministry, Levels I and II. Through this school, he teaches according to the integrity of his heart and skillfulness of his hand, guiding students in both spiritual and practical aspects of life.
Reed is also a published author of two impactful books: Bent Nails and Chipped Brick and From the Cave to the Throne.
In addition to his ministry work, Reed is the owner and operator of Reed’s Masonry, LLC, founded in 1988. He has also served as a five-term elected City Councilman, passionately leading community development initiatives for over two decades. His leadership and national connections were instrumental in the restoration and rebuilding of Bay St. Louis following Hurricane Katrina.
Today, Reed continues to travel nationally and internationally, training and equipping leaders through prayer and supplication. His heartfelt desire is to remain a vessel of God’s blessing, continuing to impact lives both locally and globally.
